UGH, MY COMPUTER ISN'T WORKING!

This is awful! I have to more info get my work/studies/game on done and my computer just won't power on/turn on/boot up. I've tried all sorts of things like pressing the power button, checking the outlet and even pressing the reset button, but nothing is working! Maybe there's something wrong with the motherboard?
